Using our Lyngoz Portal
Summary
Our AVAZA Lyngoz Video Remote Interpreting Portal is a safe and secure platform to facilitate communication between our clients, LEP, and SLU individuals. There are three steps to the VRI process, which we will describe at length in the following.
Schedule a VRI appointment
There are two options for the client to schedule a VRI session.
Website
- Complete the form and once you submit it, you are done!
- An automatic response will be sent within minutes, and a scheduling manager will be in touch within 24 hours.
You can email us directly at vri@avaza.co. In the booking email, please be sure to include all the following information to ensure your request is not delayed.
- Name
- Access Code or Cost Center ID
- VRI Langauge requested
- Time of session
- Timezone of session
- Any unique requests or requirements for the session.
Our scheduling managers will reach out promptly and get any further information they need to process the request.
Confirm Appointment - Receive Link
Once the appointment is confirmed, you will receive a link to the future session.

- Your provided link will always work and may be accessed in advance to test out mic and video functionality.
- You will be limited to the lobby unless the session has started and the interpreter is present.
- Additionally, for LEP individuals connecting to the session remotely, a link can often be provided that changes the Lyngoz platform to their preferred language. This is available upon request through the scheduling manager.

Join Session
At the time of the VRI session, use the link provided to you to enter the unique session room. If you join the session early, you will be placed on standby, and auto-connect once the interpreter is present.

Hardware Requirements
Internet Connectivity
- Requirement: Access to the internet.
- Specification: Minimum 2 Mbps upload and download speed for a stable connection.
Camera
- Specification: Built-in or externally attached camera.
Microphone
- Specification: Built-in or externally attached microphone.
Device Screen
- Specification: Built-in or externally attached screen.
Supported Operating Systems and Devices
Windows
- Specification: Any laptop purchased within the last 10 years running Windows 10 or Windows 11 with a minimum of 8 GB RAM.
macOS
- Specification: Any device running macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later.
Chromebook
- Specification: Any Chromebook that is currently supported and has been recently updated.
iPhone
- Specification: Any device supporting iOS 17.
iPad
- Specification: Any device supporting iOS 17.
Android Phones
- Specification: Samsung Galaxy S21 or Google Pixel 8 or newer models.
Android Tablets
- Specification: Untested.
Note
Devices that do not meet these specifications have not been tested and are not officially supported. However, they may still function. Notably, older iPhones have been found to provide a satisfactory experience.
